Learn about community programs for survivors of DV, trafficking, and sexual assault, and why we need specialized services for Black women.

At YWCA, we know that not all violence is acknowledged or responded to equally, and that some victims go unrecognized altogether. That’s why we work every day to end gender-based violence, including domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking.

Join us for a presentation from YWCA’s staff about how we meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence, trafficking, and sexual assault, and the importance of specialized services for Black women.

This event is part of YWCA’s “Week Without Violence: Black, Bold & Brave,” from October 18 – 24. Visit our website to learn more: www.ywcaworks.org/events/wwv20

Featured speakers from our Gender-Based Violence Specialized Services (GBVSS) team:

Nature Carter (Commercial Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Assault)
Jhitana Ball (DV Advocacy)
Bridget Griffin (Community Advocacy)
