8th Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

YWCA Metro St. Louis invites you to join us in a unique opportunity to raise awareness of critical issues in our community: sexual and domestic violence. While the majority of victims are women, sexual and domestic violence is not solely a woman’s issue. It also affects the men who care about them, their families, their co-workers and their communities.

Walk A Mile In Her Shoes (WAM) is one of YWCA’s largest fundraisers. It gives men and women the opportunity to walk together to speak out against sexual, domestic and gender violence. However, because of COVID-19 this year’s event will look a little different. Normally an in-person, one-night event that attracts over 600 walkers, this year’s 8th Annual Walk A Mile is virtual-only and scheduled for Monday, October 19th through Friday, October 23rd during YWCA National’s “Week Without Violence. Despite being virtual, walkers and teams will still have the opportunity to support this important issue and document their WAM journey at any time throughout the week.
